Job Description

Job Summary

The Finance and Administration Officer will be responsible for managing financial operations, administrative functions, and ensuring compliance with donor and organizational procedures. The role requires strong expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, procurement support, and logistics management to ensure transparency, accountability, and efficiency in project implementation.

 

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare budgets, financial statements, and donor financial reports.
    • Ensure compliance with donor financial procedures and organizational policies.
    • Maintain accurate financial records, documentation, and audit trails.
    • Support project teams in budget preparation and monitoring.
    • Ensure adherence to financial regulations, donor requirements, and internal controls.
    • Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
    • Manage administrative functions including procurement documentation and compliance.
    • Provide logistical support for project activities, including office management and resource allocation.
    • Ensure proper filing and documentation of financial and administrative records.
    • Oversee financial transactions, reconciliations, and cash flow management.
    • Ensure timely submission of financial reports and fund requests.
    • Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
    • Provide financial orientation and training to project staff.
    • Coordinate with management, donors, and external stakeholders on financial matters.
    • Strengthen administrative systems to improve efficiency and accountability.

Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial management, administration, and project financial reporting.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, financial documentation, and compliance with donor financial procedures.
  • Experience in managing project administrative functions including procurement support and logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting tools and accounting practices.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong financial management and analytical skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting systems and reporting tools.
  • Ability to manage administrative and logistical functions effectively.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • High level of integrity, transparency, and accountability.

Language Requirements

  • Fluency in Pashto and Dari (oral and written).
  • Proficiency in English (oral and written).
