Job Summary

Job Description & Core Duties

·       Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, specializing in obstetric, gynecological, pelvic, and abdominal imaging.

·       Evaluate fetal development, determine gestational age, detect congenital anomalies, and monitor high-risk pregnancies accurately.

·       Interpret sonographic images, generate precise medical diagnostic reports, and collaborate closely with the OB/GYN medical team.

·       Maintain ultrasound equipment meticulously, ensuring correct calibration, cleaning, and reporting of mechanical or software faults.

·       Provide reassurance to patients by explaining the scanning procedure and ensuring maximum comfort and privacy.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

·       Medical Doctor (MD) degree with a verified post-graduate Diploma or Advanced Certification in Medical Sonography/Ultrasound verified by MOPH.

·       Passed Ultrasound professional exam by MOPH verification.

·       At least 2–3 years of hands-on experience performing obstetric and abdominal scans in a recognized hospital environment.

·       High level of accuracy in diagnostic reporting and capability to handle modern color Doppler ultrasound systems.

·       Fluency in Pashto and Dari.
