This Call for CVs is issued for the purpose of identifying and collecting CVs of qualified candidates for a proposed UNDP-funded project. The position is subject to project approval and funding confirmation. Submission of a CV does not constitute an offer of employment or guarantee of recruitment.
Job Purpose
The Web Developer/Software Consultant will provide technical expertise for the development, customization, maintenance, and improvement of digital platforms, websites, databases, or software solutions required by the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess project requirements and recommend appropriate web/software solutions.
- Design, develop, customize, and maintain web-based platforms or applications.
- Support development of digital tools for skills mapping and job matching.
- Integrate databases and information management components into web solutions.
- Develop user-friendly and accessible interfaces.
- Apply appropriate data protection and security measures.
- Test, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
- Prepare technical documentation for developed systems.
- Train designated AREP staff on system use and basic administration.
- Provide technical advice on hosting, domain, software, database, and system requirements.
- Coordinate with the Skills Mapping and Job Matching/MIS Officer.
- Ensure developed solutions meet agreed technical requirements.
- Provide technical progress updates and deliverables.
- Perform other technical duties assigned by the Project Manager.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or related field.
- Minimum five years of relevant experience in web-based platform development, frontend/backend design, database integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Experience in secure, responsive, and low-maintenance systems is required.
- Good English required.
